How It Works

Salt

Similar to how an IV bag works, BIOLYTE uses two different kinds of salts that are key for rapid dehydration relief:

These types of salts are also known as our major biological electrolytes. The balance between these two in our cells re-estabilishes homeostasis (stability) back in your body.

Natural sugars

BIOLYTE’s 10g of dextrose (sugar) helps your body move all of those electrolytes from the small intestine to the bloodstream, through a process called Sodium-Glucose Co-transport.

We chose dextrose because it’s a healthier sugar that helps with nausea, cramps and fatigue. Doctors add dextrose to patients IV Bags when they need energy quickly.

Liver Cleansers

BIOLYTE utilizes milk thistle, Glucuronolactone, and N-Acetyl to help the liver get rid of toxins and function at peak capacity. Glucuronolactone, a naturally occurring chemical in human connective tissue, is a major free-radical scavenger that the liver uses to detoxify the body of harmful wastes. N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine is a compound that the body uses to build antioxidants, help repair cell damage, and protect the liver. Milk thistle is used as an anti-inflammatory property that promotes healthy liver function while helping restore damaged liver tissue.
